Dylan Douthitt (left) has been recognized with the Pasquale Porcelli Graduate Student Research Excellence Award for his accomplishments as an early-career researcher. His work in matroid theory includes a characterization of chordal matroids that mirrors Dirac’s characterization of chordal graphs.
