I listened to David Bowie's "Tonight" album for the first time in ages last night. There's some strange song choices on there. A couple of reggae tracks, some fairly pointless Iggy Pop covers & "God Only Knows"?
"Loving the Alien" still sounds great though!

Just listening to 'The Fall' again. Music critics always seem to love their albums but I find them quite irritating.

Currently chopping up my guitar track & putting everything in time, even though I was certain as I was playing it that it was perfectly in time!

Yet again, before even starting up, my PC asked if I want to back up all my files to the cloud. I don't have any reason to back my files up on the cloud. I back them up every day onto external hard drive. I am genuinely suspicious that you're constantly hassled to put all your data onto the internet

What's the best distributer? I did use Routenote, but they just removed my album (for unsolicited "Bot" plays), told me to contact Spotify. Spotify told me to contact my distributer. So I'm not using them any more. Out of spite 😤

Just reading "Nineteen Eighty-Four", and the main difference I can see between the novel & the actual 1984 is that there's no Duran Duran.

You should record your music very much like you are making a cake:

After 30 years of playing I've just had my guitar refretted and set up properly. It's so much easier to play now! Through fiddling about over the years & not really knowing what I'm doing I'd managed to set the strings stupidly high.

To my shame, I'm just reading "1984" for the first time. Despite being 75 years old it still seems remarkably relevant. The "two minute hate" sounds very much like what I imagine many people come to social media for.

When put on hold during a support call to BT yesterday I got really strange, swirly distortion noises & what sounded like ghostly voices in the background. I wonder if it was the lost souls of people who died while waiting to be connected.
