Biggest anthro storytelling pet peeve
The characters being animal people is purely cosmetic. It has no impact on their lives/personalities. It doesn't even need to be socially deep, it would be a nice bonus but like...wolf who runs a flower shop because his sniffer is good and stuff like that

Well now! My MC is an anthropomorphic waterbuck. His name is Hennops, which is the name of a river in South Africa. His kind have a strong affinity with water, and he spent a lot of time swimming when he was young. Sadly I don't get to showcase his swimming abilities in my WIP.
