I do gift exchanges with friends. You just need to watch how much you spend, it's easy to dump a wild amount of $ w/o noticing.
I go to a holiday fair in my city to get gifts for said exchanges
And to a local bookstore to buy cards for the card exchange

Theirs doesn't work at all. Entering zip is step 1, and if that fails, it doesn't let you advance to step 2.
