The post-war Labour government had this great vision of garden cities. This Labour government is delivering on our tree planting promises , to bring nature closer to people with forest towns: new communities with green jobs to help tackle climate change.

We’re rightly proud of Coventry’s history. We want to be proud of how our streets and parks look. Great to see @coventrycc.bsky.social taking action to tackle those who disrespect our city with tougher penalties for littering and fly tipping.
Let’s #KeepCovClean!

I am appalled by this horrific attack at the Synagogue in Manchester on one of the holiest days of the year. My thoughts are with all affected and with the wider UK Jewish community.

I’m so pleased to have secured £20 million of funding for Willenhall - £2 million every year for the next decade. It’s up to residents in Willenhall to decide how it’s spent - anything from improving our parks, to fixing up the streets and empty buildings. Let me know what you think! #prideinplace

This week I proudly voted for:

✅ Day One Rights
✅ Strengthening sick pay
✅ Banning Fire & Rehire

Reform and the Tories voted against it - of course!

Wonderful to see my opening of The Meadow at Stoke Primary School on BBC Midlands Today.

The first of Labour's new school-based nurseries in Coventry making a real difference for children and parents in Stoke.
Just one aspect of the Labour government's plans to give children the best start in life.

Visiting Stoke St Michael's, led by Rev. Claire McArthur to meet Sarah and Gareth from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. John, a brilliant @cwgc.bsky.social volunteer cleans all the war graves twice a year, here and across the city. A moving tribute to those to whom we all owe so much.
