'Adam' (WIP)
Oil on linen canvas

Currently on my easel, my 70th birthday present to my muse, Adam Ant. Didn't hit the deadline 😬 but it's nearly finished. Details to be done on sleeves and hair, a few minor touch ups, then it'll be varnished.

Delighted that both of my submissions for the Paisley Art Institute’s annual exhibition have been accepted and will be on display in the Institute’s new home, the Glasgow Art Club. As a first-time entrant, I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking part. #art #PaisleyArtInstitute #GlasgowArtClub

'Floral abstract, no2'
(21cm x 29.7cm)

Continuing with the theme. A bountiful supply of spring flowers in the garden at the moment continue to inspire me with some experimental work.

Untitled (21cm x 29.7cm)

Continuing with my acrylics 'experiments'. Added in some gold metallic paint in the background. Quite like the shimmering effect when the light reflects off it. #acrylics #acrylicprint #Scottishart #art #Scottishartonline #womeninart #womenartists

Haven't used acrylics for such a long time, so decided to rectify it. Treated myself to some fresh paints, and have been experimenting in the studio.

Quite pleased with the effects on this one. Unlike oils, the quick drying time is always such a bonus. #art

THAT moment you start printing off labels after having that great idea in the morning of "I'll do a big tidy and reorganisation of the studio ..."

I suspect I may still be up here on Boxing Day. Just keep saying "It'll be worth it ..." 😑 #art #studio
