West Midlands Fire Service has deployed five crews to a fire on Simms Lane, Netherton. Simms Lane is currently closed. As a precautionary measure, the fire service has advised residents to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke in the vicinity.

The link road from the #M5 northbound to the #M6 J8 northbound is BLOCKED due to a collision.

#M5 north traffic is now only able to access the #M6 southbound.

Fire crews have been dealing with a house fire in Pershore Road, Selly Oak following call at 19:00hrs. last night, Severe fire involved a mid terraced house.
