We popped up to Minchinhampton Common this afternoon for a brief walk between showers and came across our first ever Cordyceps militaris (Scarlet Caterpillar Club). Needless to say, we were extremely chuffed! 😁 #Fungi #FungiFriends

For #BirdOfTheDay one from our archives. Cedar Waxwing just about to catch lunch (looks more like a snack to me) From a trip to the States a few years ago. Still one of Pete’s best and luckiest shots, I reckon! #LunchTime #Birds

This is wonderful! Well done folks in Suffolk. 👏It’s up to ordinary people now, the government are not going to help - quite the opposite. 😡 @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social
Another boot load of Swift nest boxes destined to help Suffolk’s Swifts, kindly made by our volunteer. These boxes are destined for Stowmarket, Aldeburgh and Bury St Edmunds. SOSSwifts provide free surveys & advice, Swift conservation works @suffolkbirdgroup.bsky.social @suffolkwildlife.bsky.social

A baby Slow Worm. First time I’ve ever seen one this young. I never realised how pretty they were.

Good Morning everyone. Two young crows on the cliff near Mullion, Cornwall last week. One of them was playing with a bit of stick and obviously having fun! The other wasn’t so sure about it! #Twosday

This is Trevor (one of our visiting ducks - we name them all, of course) He looks very smart now that he’s moulted out of eclipse plumage and I’m sure he’d want to wish you all a happy #MallardMonday
