Southsider, alley gardener, teacher, writer, slow runner
The neighbors made a snow version of their corgi and it is utterly adorable (like their actual corgi).

Saw this while out on a run. I had no idea cacti could survive a Chicago winter! Yet one more thing to love about our wonderful city. #ChicagoHellHole

I bought donuts today for my students from the local bakery. Last time I bought them in April (end of semester) they were $18. Today they are $25. I complained to a coworker who said her exact same Chinese food order went from $80 (May) to $120 (this past weekend)! #Trumpflation

20 years ago I heard a news brief that said the levees had failed in New Orleans. That was all it said. Anyone that loved NOLA knew what that meant. I felt sick and then watched in horror as news of the devastation trickled out. I feel like that all the time now, only about our country.
