I love movies. I know kind of a lot about movies. Movies will be with us long after the current clown show is gone. Here’s a Sean Baker movie I watched tonight. He’s a really interesting low tech director and current awards darling. I hope that doesn’t change him.

I’m profiling Chinese American film star Anna May Wong tomorrow for one of my film groups. The parallels between her experience and what we’re seeing today are stunning: Chinese massacre of 1871, Page Act 1875, Chinese Exclusion Act 1882.

If you don’t have a library card go get one. Even if you don’t plan on using it right away, go get one. Keep our libraries alive.
