Fair play to England - you can only beat what’s in front of you and eight wins from eight with no goals conceded is pretty great.

Who decided this seating arrangement on the new-look Politics Live? It looks like the most uncomfortable and badly laid-out waiting room in history.

Nice of Paloma Faith to come to the post-event bash as Claudia.

Incredible. Just incredible. Absolutely bloody incredible. An all-time great British TV moment.

I’ll tell you this: Celebrity Traitors is absolutely incredible telly. I bet the producers at the Beeb can’t believe their luck.

Enjoy the post match celebrations. My view of the Villa fans from the posh seats (although there were Villa fans all around us).

Great performance and two wonderful goals. Up the Villa!

Bogarde is excellent. So comfortable on the ball. We made heavier going of it than we should have in the last 15 but great to get another win on the board. Nice to not want an international break seeing as we’ve got momentum. Up the Villa!

Word to the wise. If you visit ALDI, and you’re not allergic, get these. I buy loads of them. A woman saw me getting five bags in Leytonstone and said she was going to get some because of my obsession. They’re stupidly cheap, too - usually about 99p a bag.

You’re welcome.

Why does The Graham Norton Show bring all the guests on at the same time and then make them listen to one person talking for ages? It’s like being at a bus stop where everyone else is quiet and embarrassed while one person talks about themselves incessantly.

Smashing performance. Really open game, so suited our style of play. Bizot was marvellous, but good performances all over the pitch, including McGinn, Buendia, Konsa, and Pau.

Up the Euro Villa!

Screamed like a child when Lowry drained that putt. Incredible sport.

Get a half now, somewhere…

Genuinely horrific. Almost unwatchable.

Hmmm… If I didn’t know better, I’d be suspicious and suggest that PSR is having an impact on the clubs that had the audacity to try and gatecrash the established hierarchy.

Matty Cash has been terrific for the Villa in the last few matches. The Polish Cafu deserves some credit. Such a decent lad, I’m pleased for him.

Well, it’s a win - and right now, that feels massive.

The biggest impact of that bloody referee not giving the Rogers goal at Old Trafford is that we’ve got from the Champions League razzmatazz to a commentator I’ve never heard of and Robbie Savage.

Outplayed and outfought by 10 men. Some really poor performances again. Simply not good enough.

Far too slow. And here’s an idea: try and put a cross in every so often. Not having an alternative to Watkins looks costly.

Well played, Sunderland.

Just. Too. Slow.

John McGinn aside, that was awful. Malen looks lost - I’d carry more danger upfront. The big-name players made us worse when they came on. Rogers kept losing the ball and looked completely disinterested. We even looked rubbish during the penalties. This team needs a kick up the arse.

Positives: We scored a goal.

Negatives: Just about everything else.

The ever-useless Lee Dixon criticises Morgan Rogers and he instantly creates two excellent chances. Standard.

I see Today’s Special at John Lewis is subject to availability. I would imagine there’s likely to be an incredible rush for such special items. Don’t miss out.

Tomorrow is unlikely to go well, either. We have no money.

Serious questions need to be asked about how this club has been run. Awful transfer dealings, huge wages, and ridiculous ticket prices to pay for it.

Football can change quickly, but we’ve gone from heroes to zeros in record time.

Goodness, that was poor. The changes have had no impact whatsoever. I always get worried when it feels like a manager is making changes for the fans rather than himself. I hope that wasn’t the case for Unai. But everyone must be concerned about quite how bad we look. Slow, flat and disjointed. #AVFC
