My recent month's efficiency in novel writing reminded me of the iconic pie chart by fantasy author @joeabercrombie.com
Made more difficult by an 8-hour, brain-draining job, and instead of Bioshock, meaningless social media junkie stuff.
Could I ask for a bit of self-discipline from someone?

2024 and TV Shows:
I watched 158 episodes across various series.

My favorites:
For All Mankind – Season 4
Shōgun (I loved the adaptation from the 80s, but this one was amazing in its own way)
Arcane – Season 2
Baby Reindeer
Masters of the Air (not as good as Band of Brothers but still pretty solid)

My favourite book in 2024
Naomi Alderman - The Future (the Hungarian edition)
An apocalyptic story exploring the relationship between technology and humanity, written in an excellent style and full of surprising twists, cool characters.

A superb, personal article about Martha Wells's (@marthawells.com) writing career.

How Murderbot Saved Martha Wells' Life
Martha Wells created one of the most iconic characters in 21st-century science fiction: Murderbot, reluctant savior of humanity. Then she faced an existential threat of her own.

OMG, the Arcane finale on Netflix...
Pure audiovisual and emotional perfection, words can't fully capture this experience. For me, it felt very similar to what I experienced as a child watching Star Wars in the cinema for the first time.

If you are interested in European/Hungarian speculative fiction novels/short stories, here it is an informative article about three famous Hungarian authors (a fantasy, a sci-fi, and a weird/horror author). One of them is me, btw.
