Let's talk about writing, books, MN sports, politics, art, science, philosophy, and, most importantly, puns. Living in New England, still feel Minnesotan. Sometimes have fever dreams about Jabberjaw.
First, this sucks. I knew the Loons should have been called Minnesota Albion United. Loons have a couple good internal candidates. IF Ramsay is gone, I am begging the club to not take the easy, cheap route. Interview several varied candidates, and if an internal candidate ‘wins’—great. #MNUFC

I would’ve tried to gain 5-10 more yards. That was a first guess—not a second guess. I thought it right when Likely caught it. Unless you’re inside 30 yards, if you have time, always try to gain more yards. Even 5. Rookie kicker, outdoors. Teams never learn.

Can’t wait for this manager to critique the media’s fetishization of the Loons’ set pieces. #MNUFC
🚨🚨THERE IS ONCE AGAIN A LITERARY, MARXIST-INFLUENCED COACH IN #mls !🚨🚨

Please, Henrik Rydström, just give us fun quotes like Vanni Sartini did. PLEASE.

Gonna be weird when we wake up and learn that Georgia ran 9 more plays 7 hours after the trophy presentation and ended up winning.

We’re getting McDonough voice cracks every 4th play so you know it’s a great game.

When your team relies on Joe Judge for game management, that’s what you get. Ole Miss should be much closer, perhaps winning, but just making too many mistakes.

Roll over, damn Tide!

With Morton as qb, that Tech offense is quite … Behren.

If they just replaced halftime concerts with those dogs that chase down frisbees over 75 yards, not one person would complain. In fact, we would all rejoice.

This would be yet another huge loss IF he leaves. I mean, Ramsay County FC is such a perfect nickname. I spent entire minutes creating it when he was first announced as manager. #MNUFC

If you were going to let them score, why not do it on first down? Just let 45 extra seconds go off the clock. Won’t matter in the end, but it’s still bad management. That usually Cristobal’s corner.

The Independence Bowl had a combined 25 accepted penalties for 224 yards. This game has had 0 penalties. I don’t know what it all means, but it’s just a striking difference. Maybe the refs just hated their accommodations in Shreveport.

Someone make sure Michael Irvin has not chewed off a human head.

Put the quarterfinals on campus. OSU and Miami in Dallas. Oregon and TT play noon eastern in Miami. Indiana hosts Alabama in Pasadena. All that money to travel across country for a qf. I know it’s because cfb has this weird bowl kink they can’t shake, but it’s nonsense.

“Think how much time it would take me to ask people for something when I can just take it. And now imagine how much time it would take for me to get the money to pay them for it. As we know, all sound ideas are built on widespread theft and plagiarism.”
“I just don’t know how you go around, asking everyone first. I just don’t see how that would work.”

Lod to Chicago. I know that he had just an okay season with Loons, below expectation given the salary. He’d become more of a 60 minute player. But for a team already lacking playmaking, this means even more to add. Still early, but there are several holes on the roster. Big month ahead. #MNUFC

This Vikings game—Loons coded. KOC learning from Ramsay. Completed Passes = Overrated #MNUFC

No idea if Brian Flores would do a good job with a 2nd head coach opportunity. But his contract is up after the season. If he doesn’t get that chance, about 3/4 of the league should give him a blank check to be DC.

Wild and Wolves followed up exciting, exhilarating wins with clunkers. Colorado is just better than the Wild, so sometimes the better team just smothers you. The Wolves are playing the Zombie Bucks, so they still have a chance to comeback after a wretched half of disinterested basketball.

The NFL must require all announcers to take a class in which someone explains analytics to them. For many of them, any play that results in a bad outcome = analytics.

The Vikings just picked up 9 yards on a run play on 3rd and 8. With the defense knowing it was run. That is a miracle—the equivalent of someone falling from an airplane with no parachute, bouncing on pavement, and walking away unscathed. The Miracle in the Meadowlands.

Typically, if it is a windy day, you'd want to get as close as possible to try a kick. Then you get a Cristobalian twist, "What if, instead, we let the clock run and waste a few plays to make it as long as possible? A&M will never expect it!"
December 20, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Now we await the string of big signings that will make the Loons a clear contender. With all that freed up money burning a hole in their feathers, we should hear that list of impressive names any day now. Just around the corner … #MNUFC

Sad to see he chose evil. What next—become a Dodgers fan? In all seriousness, it sucks but if he wants to win, the Loons have yet to show the ambition to truly compete financially in terms of building a roster. I assume Miami will also announce robot Pele shortly. #MNUFC

Once the first few days passed with no good news, I started to worry. Huge loss for the Loons. DSC gave them an advantage over opposing teams, an advantage that allowed them to steal some much-needed results. Plus, he seemed like a team leader. Loons have a lot of roster work to do. #MNUFC
News: #MNUFC offered goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair a “seven-figure” contract to return to #Loons next season, but #MLS Goalkeeper of Year declined it, a source told @pioneerpress.bsky.social on Wednesday. United had ability to pay DSC more than other clubs in league, but his run in Minnesota is over.
