#Cricket enthusiast, bowler of slow full tosses, hopeless tail-end batter, a liability in the field, and international man of mystery.
Wrote this a few weeks ago - most sporting predictions I make crash and burn, but I suggested in September that this might be #afcb midfielder Alex Scott's season to shine. Congratulations on his England call-up.

Some words on Philip Billing's time at #afcb - contains skullduggery, hoodwinkery, Woodgate's tactical switch, the rocket at Forest, the nine-second Arsenal goal, the lob against Burnley, and two vital assists: for Kieffer Moore, and for Tom Lockyer.

Leap of faith here - if Callan McKenna were to play for Scotland on Monday, with Benji Buchel likely to be in goal for Liechtenstein, surely it'd be the first time that current and former #afcb goalkeepers faced each other in a full international where neither had made it off the first-team bench?

Bold strategy by England - to see if they can beat West Indies with only 10 players?!

Have tried to gather some thoughts on a remarkable season for #afcb - and like all the best sci-fi epics, it's been divided into three parts.

The stats. The emotions. And the goals.

I really tried not to get carried away. It can all be found on BBC Sport's AFCB page.

Terrific bowling by Emily Arlott. Was extremely impressed by her in a RHF Trophy game I watched at Wormsley a couple of years ago, surprised England have taken this long to cap her but thrilled she's started so well.

Also keep thinking it sounds like West Indies have a player called Downton Abbey?!

A collector's item just before Mooney was dismissed - Filer was no-balled by the square leg umpire for having three fielders behind square on the leg side. Wyatt-Hodge at deep square leg had to shift.

Not sure I've ever seen that before in 40+ years watching pro cricket!

MCG could use the services of a hawk here. Seagulls are marauding (despite having lost one of their number recently, vanquished by a James Vince straight drive - does he count as a Hawk?!), and will have complete control by the close of play if unchecked.

Quite possibly the best Garth-Knight duel since the "evil double" episode of Knight Rider.

Beware the "England fan zone" tickets advertised at $27 on the Cricket Australia website. Actually cost $35 at the MCG ticket window. That's not including the spurious $8 "transaction fee", so a grand total of $43.

Not a great look for CA. Any other England fans have similar experiences?
