I'm sure he was a nice enough bloke, but this endless coverage of the Pope's passing is ridiculous. For one, there is no such thing as God. For another the Catholic church has caused IMMEASURABLE damage to countless youngsters over the years. I'd have stayed a LOT quieter if I were a member.

Delighted to see Bluesky up its max character limit. But it's still NOWHERE NEAR enough. We need Bluesky to take Facebook on with a much higher limit in place. Our democracies depend on Facebook dying a long-overdue death. I want to leave Facebook without losing my voice online.

I am SO proud of Americans taking to the streets to defend their democracy. This needs to become a series of national strikes until the Trump economy is stopped. We'll do our bit abroad too, inc. calling for a boycott of all tourism to the USA. Difficult, but WAY better than a second US civil war.

It’s not often I’d feel sorry for Sir Kier Starmer. But him hoping to talk some sense into Donald Trump this coming week must feel like the weight of the world on his shoulders, and it may indeed be. WW3 is not that difficult to imagine, considering Trump’s utterly deranged thinking.
