Yesterday, 50km in various odd shifts, probably 2500kcal, ~ 4.5-4.8 hours. Required at home at various times, continuous shift impractical.

What's interesting is that this is unambiguously a dominant chord because of the inclusion of the dominant third, which means that it can't be heard as a tonic chord. In ordinary hymn books, this is a TONIC chord, so pushing it into the dominant is a very vivid and beautiful effect.

In this rendition of "Immortal, Invisible", a hymn, arranged by Pete Smith and the Common round - they use a direct dominant major 13th with a seventh, and the effect is PROFOUNDLY beautiful....

A 50km row in 2 shifts and a 42km row since. Definitely losing SOME intraorgan fat; small risk of losing some gluteus maximus muscle, easily recovered with leg work. Good, overall. Chest press now 94kg, six sets of 21 reps, aiming for 117kg, probably February, eventually 150kg x 150 reps (6*25reps).

I first heard Leonard Bernstein's Norton Lectures in Langtoft at my grandparents house. It was the most amazing thing I had ever heard. He started with music phonology and moved all the way to Schoenberg. I was 13. I started playing flute quite some time later but was a bass player way before that.

If anyone with that kind of interest is looking for a flute player, PLEASE let me know!!.. Out of practice somewhat but the background is certainly there. Used to listen to 3 Mustafa in the 80/90s, and Quintessence when I was a kid in the 1970s, Indian influences, very good as a general backdrop....

Is there anyone interested in Eric Dolphy's integration of bass clarinet and flute? I am aware that I STILL HAVE TIME.. and my fascination with this incredible man and my gratitude to him may still bear fruit. This is one HECK of an adventure....

Now at the 107kg level and that's as far as this chest press machine can ever take me. I have to improve FORM and this will take months of work. Now I don't have to worry about taking higher weights and can concentrate more on legs and core trunk and back work

I'm 65. If trump is medically 15 years younger than his true age, I want to see him do 3.5 hour rowing, and lifting 104kg 50 times. THIS I HAVE TO SEE....

97kg chest press × 150 reps today; solid form, no strain, no sweat. Proof that age isn’t decline. Strength still grows.
