Even if I wasn’t a Rosie fan, I might be now. Nicely said Rosie and I’m just going to borrow your reference to his “collapsing brain” because i think its a briliant way of putting it www.facebook.com/share/p/1CiZ...

This is super scary y’all. I still go back to the fact that if you’re not Native American, your family immigrated here too.
Breaking news: Federal immigration officers may deport immigrants with as little as six hours’ notice to countries other than their own, even without assurances that the arrivals will be safe from persecution or torture, a top official said.
ICE memo outlines plan to deport migrants to countries where they are not citizens
The dramatic shift in policy could result in thousands of immigrants being deported to places where they lack family ties or even a common language.

No one voted to die from bird flu or nuclear weapons. You can’t fire people and then just say “my bad.”
NEW: The USDA acknowledged that over the weekend, it accidentally fired "several" agency employees who are working on the federal government's response to the H5N1 avian flu outbreak.

The agency adds it is trying to quickly reverse the firings.
USDA says it accidentally fired officials working on bird flu and is trying to rehire them
In a statement, an Agriculture Department spokesperson told NBC News that officials are "working to swiftly rectify the situation."

Jamie’s book “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” about the Japanese Internment is read in hundreds of schools around the nation. I highly recommend the read (or listen) if you haven’t yet. Even though it’s historical fiction, let’s not ignore the similarities to the feelings of today.
Trump's DEI ban in schools is similar to Arizona's ban on Ethnic Studies, from 2010-2017. A law was passed to ban any class that “advocates ethnic solidarity," like *gasp* Mexican American History. They then banned any book in school that might seed ethnic resentment (make white people look bad).

It’s President’s Day. I never thought much about why it’s a holiday and how it originally started. So I educated myself that it was a celebration of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s birthdays. So… happy birthday to the O.G.s. (We’ll just skip thinking about the current one.)
