Despite the blank wood being cut too short, the thing is square. So instead of cutting a new board ill keep this one. This stuff doesn't grow on trees.

Doing something called should sugi ban. Mostly because I like how it looks but it also helps the wood. One piece was cut too short so just using it for test fitting.

Did a bit more paint stripping before going to work. This likely all just needs to be replaced. I still haven't found a good diagram on how these windows work so I'll have to reverse engineer them. Will make a guide to help others with these windows.

I'm currently renting a house from the 1920s and it is falling apart. Planning on moving out but I'd like to use it as a learning tool. Currently working on repairing a pulley window in my room. Problem is I can't find a good diagram on how pulley windows are constructed. Someone please help me :P
