AI & Enterprise Reinvention Leader | TEDx Speaker | Ex-CIO Supply Chain @Cummins | Strategy | Ops | Culture Builder
There is real movement in America’s industrial base. Chipmaking, digital twins, robotics, and AI-enabled manufacturing are beginning to align in meaningful ways.
The outcome depends on the structure behind the work.

Supply chain leadership has changed profoundly. It now sits at the center of how companies connect strategy, technology, and execution.

This conversation with Zero100 was filmed during my time at Cummins, when we were working to shape that shift.

Every transformation faces the same structural paradox.
Centralize too much, you lose speed.
Decentralize too far, you lose coherence.

The answer is purpose.
Centralize to amplify value. Decentralize to accelerate it.

I see real progress when AI is applied with focus. In sourcing, machines manage supplier data and compliance while people drive judgment, relationships, and innovation. For me, the role of the Operator is making sure that structure holds.

Procurement converts energy spend into enterprise advantage. When it shapes strategy through contracting and market timing, volatility falls and resilience rises. Energy deserves a board-level mandate, and procurement must be recognized as a true value engine.

Strategy misses by 30% when leaders focus on structure instead of system design.
