Slow progress, but she is starting to accept (or at least tolerate) him. They now touch noses, but she still hisses at him when he jumps at her in his kittenish ways (which is all the time 😅).

I heard about おいしいごはんが食べられますように when it won the Akutagawa Prize, so when I saw it in a bookshop in Shimokitazawa I thought I'd buy it (being a short novella, it seemed less daunting).
And I really enjoyed it, even though it was hard work 😁.

I rarely rewatch films, but I watch this about once a year, and I don't think there's another film quite as beautiful and life-affirming as this.
