Oh, my god, I made my entire family gather and stay overnight at my parents’ house on New Year’s Eve 1999, just in case it all went bad. So, I’ve pretty much been preparing for 2025 for the past 25 years.

I am grateful to have been born in a time and place that allowed me to experience freedom. And I hope I live long enough to see it return. Happy, or at least Hopeful, New Year to all.

My Mom (Irish maternal line) used to put bacon over the top of her meatloaf and then cover it with ketchup. The bacon was the only good part of her meatloaf. 😀
