Disabled workers are also more likely than non-disabled workers to be employed on a zero-hours contract.

Again, this intersects with other labour market inequalities. Disabled BME women are the most likely to be on a ZHC - three times more likely than non-disabled white men.

Non-disabled white workers: 2.6%. Disabled BME workers: 6.3%. Non-disabled BME workers: 4.3%. Disabled white men: 3.5%. Non-disabled white men: 2.3%. Disabled BME men: 5.3%. Non-disabled BME men: 4.4%. Disabled white women: 3.8%. Non-disabled white women: 3.0%. Disabled BME women: 7.0%. Non-disabled BME women: 4.2%.

Today is disability pay gap day.

Disabled employees are paid £2.35 per hour less than non-disabled employees.

The disability pay gap intersects with the gender pay gap: median hourly pay for disabled women is £4.05 less than it is for non-disabled men.
