This is the nightmare we have all been fearing and waiting for.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Grace Lynch on their devastating loss.

For years now, almost every meeting with Gardaí involves the lawlessness on our roads with scramblers and scooters

These CHI failures in HR and IT are shockingly basic 👇

And yet we expect that within 12 months, CHI can merge and move 4000 staff into a new building and make dramatic move from paper to electronic records.

Very serious concerns here

HSE inconsistency here 🤔

Master of Rotunda on RTÉ today -she hasn’t signed up to public only consultant contract (all private activity was supposed to end by 2025)

Yet HSE is going after 4 hospitals (St Johns, National Orthopaedic, Royal Donnybrook & Peamount) because CEO pay above agreed levels

This is shocking loose, crude talk - something we expect the judiciary to be above

I’m gutted for all cyclists out there-we need more cycling for a safer calmer faster moving city

Judge O’ Donohoe should retract
If not, I think the Judicial Council must intervene

This budget has failed to prioritise people with disabilities, childcare, the thousands of children who are homeless, and the hundreds of thousands of people on hospital waiting lists.

What is happening in the Arts?

Great that the Basic income will be retained and expanded.

But who is losing out?

There is a cut to current funding to arts and culture spending.

This is real backward step. #budget2026

📣 Childcare! Remember all those election promises!

None here today.

More places ❌
Fees to reduce to €200 per month ❌

And the “Building Blocks” scheme to create more places- not a single € paid out. It was supposed to be done last March. Will be lucky to have it next September. #budget2026

Spot on👇

There are small few stations who are trying- RTÉ, Cork’s Red fm, Midwest

But they are far too many who don’t

Working with the brilliant Linda Coogan Byrne of WhyNotHer we produced legislation in 2022 to ensure gender diversity in broadcasting.

We need to amplify Irish artists on Irish radio – not from a position of territorialism or nationalism, but from one of support and pride

State spends €36m on brand new 100 bed building

But no money to open almost half the beds🙄

128 homeless persons died in 2021- vast majority had substance abuse history. Most of the deaths- preventable.

I raised it in Dáil on Wed.
This saves lives👇

We just don’t join the dots here in this country

📍25% delay visiting GP cause of costs
📍GP shortages mean some can’t get GP,others wait ages for appointment

And then INMO trolley figures today showed worst Feb on record..since 2004

We need more 🛌 &more👩‍⚕️ but lack of primary care is also reason

Meta is playing with people’s lives and democracy here.

For years, they argued content moderators were the great defence against the worst impacts of their recommender systems.

This sets Meta on collision course with EU’s digital services act.

Theirs was a fight for over 25 years for the thousands of young women wronged in our country.

Very sad that Rosie McKinney has left our world and our hearts go out to her daughter, our beloved Mags.

She was indomitable in spirit right to the end.

In an Ireland of surpluses in the public finances, this is our heartbreaking reality 👇

It’s shocking

But we shouldn’t be shocked.

So many struggling in silence out there. Huge credit to Capuchins and others for giving people some dignity.
