TRUMP'S WOMEN... All of them share the same plastic surgeon, or at least workout routine. And the same indifference and sense of cruelty.

What goes into a drawing. Some snippets. ♥

TRIBUTE TO A RETIRING CFO. You would think all you'd need to do was do a few rough drafts, and then crank this drawing out. Not so. Countless checklists and drafts were required to keep everything straight. It's going well, and as long as I can show the sketches at their ideal size, I'm happy. ♥

PROGRESS REPORT: 18x24 drawing for retiring CFO of a local corporation is coming along nicely. This is how it looks now, 8:10AM Wednesday. This one was a tremendous amount of work -- not doing the illustrations -- figuring out the logistics. But man, I love doing this work. ♥

MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH. ♥

The Morse Institute Library Natick held a contest for the best message -- to be made into an exhibit and printed on Morse Institute merch. This was my (prize winning!) entry.

TWO DRAWINGS FOR THE Morse Institute Library Natick. You've probably heard of Bookmobiles. The library proposes the rollout of a Bikemobile later this year. The Bikemobile is an e-bike, with a container in the front for books and a collapsible umbrella. Perfect for those hot, sunny summer days. ♥

Another drawing for that children's book ... possum playing dead. Possums can give off an odor that is so off-putting to most animals that even real dead possums will not be eaten on the side of the road.

BEST REVIEW A FREELANCE ILLUSTRATOR COULD ASK FOR!

"Working together is a dream. She includes me so the words on the written page are interwoven with her art. Her work ethic is impressive. She is organized, unlike many artists Marianne delivers beyond my expectations. You will not be disappointed."

Drawing from a children's book I'm doing. This is what bullying looks like. I'm really impressed with the book. I think it's going to be a good one. ♥

New illustration for the children's book I'm illustrating. Shout out to the environmental design program at UMass Amherst for making us memorize 120 plants per semester... for two semesters. It was torture, but it paid off. 😉

For my next freelance project: This drawing of mine will be the back cover for a children's book on meditation, starring a baby possum. ♥

I'm delighted to say I am illustrating another children's book. This one is a child's introduction to meditation, and it stars a baby possum.

I've been freelancing as an illustratorfor 8 yrs, and can't wait to meet with a talented 13-year-old artist on Friday, to show him how I have my studio laid out, and a little about my process. Hint: I have the heart of an artist, but the mind of an engineer. Therefore, computers are involved. ;)
