Grandkids are 7 & 5 yrs old. I was doing spelling with them, giving the eldest 7 letter words and the youngest 5 letter words to spell back to me. By mistake I asked the eldest to spell the word “about”.

Season ticket for the Aston Villa returned to the club for resale. Club sold the ticket on the 28th October. Refund policy says upto 10 working days from date of event. Today is the 11th day & still no refund. Contacted the Club & “there’s been a delay issuing returns”.
They got paid 19 days ago.

The result yesterday was entirely on Arne Slot. Against Villa & Madrid we changed the tactics & played with more urgency & intensity. We passed the ball with purpose & intent & we moved it from back to front quicker. Yesterday we reverted to the slow build-up, passing it sideways & backwards 1/2

I said before the game yesterday I’d almost accept a defeat as long as we played well showed what they we do. But what I don’t understand is why we make it so hard. They had 6 players out injured & lost 2 central defenders during the game. Yet in the last 20 minutes they were the better team 🤷♂️

Spare a thought for the travelling Reds who are making their way home after the game. It’s always gutting to lose a game like that and Liverpool is a long old way home when you’ve just lost 3 on the bounce.

I watched Wirtz closely when he came on. Other than that incredible touch to play Salah in, I don’t think he didn’t anything of note for the rest of the half. I think he needs to up his work rate. There was no intensity in his game when they had the ball & closed players down at a jogging pace.

We’ve got some big problems. Haven’t played well all season but have snatched victories out of the fire in the dying minutes. None of the new players have made much of an impact & we can’t keep a clean sheet to save our lives. Is that just 2 in the last 11 games? Arne has got some work to do.

Don’t know what our central defenders were doing there but someone has got to attack the ball when their man is running at goal and is within range.

I did a bike ride at the beginning of September last year that involved 450 miles over 4 days & sleeping in tiny one-man tent. At night it was frickin freezing cold 🥶
Here we are now on the cusp of October & I’ve just been outside for about 20 minutes & it’s mild bordering on warm.

Even if we get (another) late goal, this has been another poor performance. Even with all that attacking talent on the pitch we’ve basically created fuck-all in the second half.

Another typical first half from Liverpool. We’ve become accustomed to this now. We’ll be better in the second but questions have to be asked why we can’t keep a clean sheet (just 2 in 9) and why we start games like we do.
