One of 6 species that spawned on day 6 after the March full moon: Cyphastrea microphthalma. A beautiful coral: look at the corallite structure. We're gradually exploring spawning times of more species to set the stage for larvae enhanced restoration.

The first coral spawning season of the year is beginning. Yesterday a spawn slick washed ashore.... unfortunately mixed up with the usual rubbish at that beach. But this first indicator is a good sign that a lot of corals will follow on day 5 and 6 after full moon.
