All news media exists to commodify the audience, with very few exceptions.
I don’t watch cable news anymore and I feel MORE informed than I did before.
It’s a good reminder that cable news exists to sell ads, which is why it reduces news to reality TV, creating content aimed at the lowest common denominator.

It’s stuff like this that really annoys me. First, “right-wingers” is such a pejorative, so we’re already starting off on the wrong foot. Second, rather than paint people with a broad brush, why not extend some good will to people who are here in good faith who might not agree with you?
Right-wingers are not coming to this platform for any reason other than to be obnoxious trolls to people who just want to be left alone. They are not here for any useful or constructive purpose. They only want to tear down and insult. It’s all they know. It’s how they live.

So can I be real with you all for a moment? This place is kind of boring. No offense, but there’s no substance here. Lots of “So glad to be away from the other place,” but how about some real conversation? Or is that more than you can handle? I’ll give it time, but so far, kind of meh.
