U. of Louisville President Kim Schatzel was lauded for a ‘strong performance’ in her job review last July. She told campus members in February she was excited about the school’s progress, and later attended the SOTU.

Today she resigned.

In allowing citizens to petition for new suburban cities in Jefferson County, Kentucky lawmakers created a grey area that requires no lobbying or campaign finance disclosures on a very public policy matter — as seen in the battle for a new city of Eastwood.

In 2024, Ky. lawmakers approved tax breaks for data centers--the server farms that handle digital data--in Louisville. Months later, developers unveiled plans for one.

There's now interest in expanding the subsidies to rural Kentucky, according to the Senate president.

The Louisville mayor’s office said last week there wasn’t a cost estimate for transforming the downtown Belvedere plaza because the design has not been finalized. But planning documents reviewed by @wdrbnews.bsky.social give the first glimpse into a price tag.

The company hired to run the RiverLink toll system aims to have four out of every five phone calls answered in less than one minute.

The average wait time was about 30 minutes in recent weeks and about 13 1/2 minutes yesterday, I'm told.
