Best of award lists please always remember to include an all-ages/humour section to choose from. They are the lifeblood of comics, and are incredibly important to the future of comics.

My comics don’t make any best of lists, BUT, I put out roughly three brand new titles a year, I support nearly 12 creators appearing in GOOF, and send a ton of comics to be printed and reprinted over the year by Rich at CPUK. So that’s a best of the year right there. I make comics for my job. I win!

At a recent comics event there was a publisher there who was expressing interest in creators, including me, not giving business cards but asking for ‘free samples’ from peoples tables. I have since not heard from this person, who is probably too busy reading all the freebies he acquired. Not cool :(

Next year my goal is getting a comic published in an American comic book. It’s on my list, and constantly drives me to keep going. It’s gotta happen!

When I stress about getting a comic to print and checking and rechecking everything I remember the first ever issue of Ninja Turtles was printed the wrong size and had that huge gutter in the middle of the double page spread. And the rest is history… :D
