When it's supposed to be a quiet night in college basketball.... #marchmadness #ncaatournament #upsets

It probably went a little unnoticed, but Houston FINALLY has its first Quad 1 win of the season after beating West Virginia by double digits. #bracketology #marchmadness #ncaatournament

Meanwhile, it's hard to know what to make of Georgia after a soft non conference schedule. Is this a team that can play well enough to stay off the bubble in a loaded SEC?
January 16, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Tennessee is running Georgia off the court.

That loss to Florida looks to be in the rear view mirror.

UAB opened the year as the American favorite. The Blazers got off to a putrid start but appear to have turned the corner. Beating South Florida tonight.

Iowa State is so impressive. Cyclones winning on the boards, in the turnover battle, at the free throw line and, in turn, the game, against Kansas.

Nightly bracketology update after Florida and Alabama go down. Here's a look at how I see the top three seed lines. #bracketology #marchtothedance

Missouri is winning every hustle play against Florida. Every. Single. One.
January 15, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Florida showing some mental toughness in trying to come back against Missouri. Tigers are an intriguing team. Imagine if they get this W to go with the victory over Kansas.

DePaul fought all the way back in OT just to lose the ball out of bounds on the final possession. Oh man.
January 15, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Ole Miss has kind of been the "forgotten" team in the SEC behind Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Kentuckg and Texas A&M. They won't be forgotten now after winning in Tuscaloosa.
January 15, 2025 at 2:24 AM
The goaltending call stands.... Wow. Tough call either way.
January 15, 2025 at 2:03 AM
DePaul is about to have more heartbreak... that looks like a block to me, which would wipe out goaltending.
January 15, 2025 at 2:01 AM
Indiana is absolutely taking it on the chin from Illinois tonight. The Hoosiers have ONE Quad 1 win (barely) and it was over Penn State.
January 15, 2025 at 1:56 AM
After all DePaul has been through in recent years, particularly in conference play, it's hard not to cheer for the Blue Demons to finish this off against Marquette.
January 15, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Anyone who thought Auburn was vulnerable without Broome ... they're not.
January 15, 2025 at 12:48 AM
Auburn-Mississippi State AND Alabama-Ole Miss tonight. Going in it feels Alabama and Auburn (and Florida and Kentucky) are a small step ahead in the loaded SEC. Where do the Rebels and Bulldogs fit? And how does Auburn play without Broome?

This is the NCAA NET rankings.

I'm not sure anyone expected to see these teams so closely ranked this season.
January 12, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Texas Tech, #17 in the NET, continues to claim a win over BYU (#47 in the NET) as its best victory. The Red Raiders badly needed that one against Iowa State.
January 11, 2025 at 9:36 PM
UCLA's NET ranking by date:

Jan 3: 14
Jan 4: 19
Jan 7: 25
Jan 10: 30
January 11, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Texas Tech has been a team where its NET ranking has outpaced its actual wins on the court. If the Red Raiders can hang on, this win would go a long way to legitimizing them as a contender in the Big 12 and a tournament contender.
January 11, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Texas Tech badly needs a quality win. BADLY. The Red Raiders cannot afford to let this opportunity against Iowa State slide by.
January 11, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Auburn's Johni Broome is down against South Carolina. Obviously, lets hope he's OK.

If he misses any time, it would change the entire landscape of the college basketball season.
January 11, 2025 at 7:26 PM
I do think its fair to start asking how many more times Duke will lose during the regular season. Could it be 0? I think it legitimately could.
January 11, 2025 at 6:46 PM
No, I didn't see USC winning at Illinois (though the game isn't over yet.)

I also didn't expect South Carolina to seriously challenge Auburn, though that game still isn't to halftime.
