Voting is at the heart of Democracy and I want to thank everyone who voted on Tuesday. I also want to congratulate everyone who ran for City Council and School Committee. Putting yourself out there takes courage, and every candidate deserves respect for stepping up to serve their community.

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of speaking to the Joint Committee on Housing at the State House in favor of the Act to Promote Yes in my Backyard. We need to build more housing and we need every community to help. Thank you, Abundant Housing MA

Cambridge, MA, has joined 11 other communities from around the country on an amicus brief challenging the Dept. Of Homeland Security's decision to revoke TPS for Venezuelans. Keep fighting!

Councillor Paul Toner has been named and charged in connection with a brothel operating in Cambridge. It is important to note that Councillor Toner has not been found guilty and is entitled to due process. However, the nature of these charges is deeply concerning. 1/2

Proud of Cambridge, MA for signing on to an amicus brief challenging the Department of Homeland Security's decision to revoke an 18 month extension of Temporary Protective Status for 350,000 Venezuelans who will lose TPS. We have to fight this hatred in the streets and in the courts!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Multi-Family Housing Ordinance that passed 8-1. Thx to my colleagues @SumbulSiddiqui and @BurhanAzeem, who led the charge. We can’t address a housing shortage without building housing. Let's keep moving Cambridge forward!

Republican elected officials want to impose conditions on federal aid to California. Is there no end to their evil?
January 15, 2025 at 3:13 AM
As the 5th generation of my family to live in Cambridge,MA, I want others to have that same experience. Unfortunately, so many can't because of our housing shortage. We can't call Cambridge a "Welcoming Community" and then not welcome new people.
