Our new contribution to the conservation of biodiversity of sharks and rays is out to the world! ⚠️🧬🦈
🧬🦈🌊 New study reveals the urgency of regulating the trade of sharks and rays in Brazil. A Meta-Analysis of all studies using DNA based methods to track trade of elasmobranchs identified 64 species being commercialized, being 83% threatened ones (IUCN). Check the key highlights:
