It’s an experimental implementation, but this Design Tokens Community Group JSON validator looks great. dembrandt.github.io/dtcg-validat...

I just created an Alfred Workflow I should have made years ago: It takes a URL on the clipboard and uses curl to find all the redirected URLs. Really handy for package tracking URLs, where the final redirect often doesn’t contain the tracking ID and can’t be bookmarked.

👨🏻‍💻 Take this gift card, but beware, it carries a terrible curse.

That’s bad!

👨🏻‍💻 But, it comes with a free frogurt!

Take the number of devices in the field (A), multiply it by the probable rate of account suspension (B), then multiply the result by the average out-of-court settlement (C).

A × B × C = X. If X is less than the cost of changing, we don’t do it.

Can’t say I’ve seen a home page URL like this before.

It’s pretty easy to get Apple Passwords to lose data.

Create a new item with a password of “a”. Sync to two devices. Turn off internet on both devices. Set password to “b” on one device, and “c” on the other. Turn on internet. The conflict gets resolved silently. “b” might win, or “c” might win.

Photoshop 27 adds a “quiet mode” setting. I really hope it puts and end to the non-stop ads and tips. I can’t see a “quiet mode” setting in Illustrator 30.

I think iOS 26.1 changed the dock, so icons are no longer aligned with the grid above. I am not into this.

This is a pretty hostile contact form: Describe the issue in 10 words or more. Description must not exceed 255 characters.

Here’s how the new Affinity “pigments” gradient interpolation compares to Photoshop and Pinwheel’s interpolation.

“When we made Affinity free, some people assumed there had to be a catch. Let me be absolutely clear. There is no catch.”

I don’t think this comment will age well. You don’t spend USD$1 billion on something just to give it away. Very likely the plan is freemium. www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9YR...
How is Affinity now free?

I’ve been working on the iStat Menus, Pinwheel, and Skala Icon Composer app icons. Pinwheel’s icon was updated a couple of weeks ago, and iStat Menus will be soon. It’s great that the mono versions can be entirely different, if you’d like.

Surprisingly, my two biggest gripes with macOS 26 are the lock screen clock animating to the current time, and the new terrible window tabs. The clock seems to animate only when the laptop lid is opened, rather than every time macOS wakes. It’s incredibly distracting.

The new iOS 26 and macOS app icon shape looks like it is based on the iOS 7 app icon shape with a larger radius, rather than a superellipse. Here’s an image diff with my best attempt matching a superellipse. It’s not quite the same.
