S.A.F.E was launched by our co-founder @maraclarke.bsky.social to address the lack of abortion access for people left behind by govts in Europe. It's a struggle as the common misconception is that abortion in Europe is a done deal. That is NOT the case.

And just like that, our Diane left us on 9 January. May her fierceness and compassion serve as an inspiration to all of us who follow in her footsteps.
Last week a stalwart of abortion rights, Diane Munday, passed away. Most notably she was the principal leader of the UK campaign for the Abortion Act 1967. Her dedication will be a continued inspiration and pathway as sadly our work doesn't stop. Read more about her incredible life below 💚

Y'all, I love an aboriton victory as much as the next person, but please look at the facts, and realize that the very, very few abortion funds who are working with almost no resources and generally on volunteer labor are not helped by this false narrative that abortion is Europe is now sorted.

YES there was a historic EU Parliament vote led by My Voice My Choice. This vote will NOT make abortion available in all EU countries but paves the way for ANOTHER vote at EU Commission level. If that vote goes through, the PROCESS of making an EU wide fund to cover costs of abortions will happen.
