A magnificent crack willow, found in boggy corner whilst hunting for glacial ponds in @herefordshirewt.bsky.social‬ Sturts reserve.

Name is not a drug reference (though willows are valued for their pain-relieving properties), but for its habit of splitting and developing deep cracks.

Centrepoint's little sister, this 1968 #brutalist masterpiece is a machine for working in. Half expect to see worker bees swarming in and out its concrete cells...
