The FCC is about to grant SpaceX a waiver to exempt it from the terrestrial build-out requirements associated with AWS-3 licenses. Meaning, unlike every other mobile carrier, the company can avoid building a network while warehousing the spectrum…

After acquiring Echostar spectrum for $17 billion, Starlink wants to become a mobile carrier giant, per @arstechnica.com.

It appears that Musk & Starlink are about to be handed a huge gift from the FCC after requesting the agency remove the requirements with those licenses.

X-Labs reports only 17% of Starlink users meet the FCC benchmark for broadband speed.

As NTIA moves to spend billions on Starlink, many users who rely on the service will be left with subpar speeds that don’t even qualify as “broadband.”
