Julie and myself also volunteer for a veterans charity supporting veterans in Stockport. We get to serve them tea and coffee and bring them a breakfast. Cant think of a better way to spend our time serving the people that have served this country...

I made 2 chocolate cakes today, used 32 eggs, 1.6kg flour, 1.6kg margarine, 1.4kg sugar and 2 full tubs of drinking chocolate. Electric mixer was too small so mixed all by hand. Served with whipping cream and everyone seemed to enjoy it! Happy Days 😋

I've just received my favorite 3 monthly message from the NHS Blood Donors, my donation number 75 has been issued to University Hospital, Durham, a trip of 146 miles and hopefully someone is better off now for receiving it.🩸🅾️

Another milestone for me, donation number 75. I now get another badge and my donor card has changed colour to emerald and not only did I get a bourbon biscuit but also a mint club biscuit, that alone was worth every pint...

Tomorrow we enter the world of solar panels and battery storage for the first time. Hopefully we'll be live by the end of the day and looking forward to very much lower bills.
