It was great seeing everyone again; it had been seven years since I last saw them in person. I had a great time visiting different places and eating lots of lovely food. I finally managed to sort out Mum's hospital appointment, which is one less thing to worry about. The weekend was pretty chilled. My nephews came around for a sleepover. We ended up watching the Paddington movie twice and lots of Ben and Holly (my 5-year-old nephew's new obsessions).

My week, while it hasn't been too crazy busy, has involved a lot of my free time on the phone trying to chase up a hospital appointment for my mum. Our local NHS hospital is an absolute joke. They were supposed to have booked an appointment for my mum's first follow-up after her surgery nine weeks ago, but they didn't.
