this question really bit me and instead of being normal i thought about it all week. but, to actually answer: yeah, there are ruins, even beyond the entirety of this single city. a lot of them are in much worse shape, having been totally razed or purged during the hundred years of crusades.

In their midst, new scaffolding and lean-tos are being erected. Text reads: Today, much of Storasta remains in ruins. However, efforts to rebuild have begun to bear fruit; drawn by the promise of lost knowledge or new homes, people have begun to resettle small sections of the city. New homes are often built on top of old residences. (Re)construction is supplemented by magic, but the demand for finished shelters currently outpaces supply. In the meantime, it's common for residents to simply build a temporary lean-to against an existing stone shell.
