Came across this beauty by the river Forth. 2 of them. One in the bushes and the other standing watching me. Got a grainy pic before they were off. I couldn’t see the feet so made them up. Should I ground the image or just leave it as is?

I don’t colour my prints but this one wasn’t great. To try & save it I ran watercolour washes through it. I also included wild white clover which is found in the field. I’m reasonably pleased with it. What do you think? 7x8.5cm, monoprint & watercolour on 250gsm paper. #drypoint #monoprint #stirling

Small Drypoint monoprints. All slightly different with the core image, a large Oak tree in a farmers field close to home in Stirling, Scotland. 5 prints in total, showing 3 here. Which one do you prefer?

Two little prints from my local field. Imaginatively called the ‘Farmers Field’ 😂 The 1st is a straightforward drypoint print and the 2nd I’ve turned into a monoprint. Personally I prefer the 2nd. 9x3.5cm, Cranfield etching ink, 250gsm acid free paper. #printmakers #printmaking #drypoint

Today we meet print artist Rosanna Reade. We love her characterful domestic linocuts. They give us a sense of nostalgia and a simpler view of our complex lives. The cats are wonderful too!

It hasn’t been a great start to 2025 with the loss of my dad and my mother in law. Creativity has taking a back seat but now getting back into things. A pair of Blue Tits - a symbol of Hope & Optimism. I think I’ll frame them together. Drypoint. 8.5cm square. #birds #bluetits #drypoint #printmakers
