Ethiopia has become the 23rd African country to launch the #malaria vaccine. 💉

📱With the Global Fund, Uganda's Ministry of Health & partners, we've been scaling-up a mobile-based community health information system to 3 new districts.

@who.int has recommended the use of spatial repellents to prevent #malaria.
These disperse chemicals into the air, making people less susceptible to mosquito bites. We're currently trialling the Mossie-GO solar-powered device.

#Togo has begun distributing the #malaria vaccine to children under five this September — a major milestone in efforts to reduce child mortality from the disease.

The goal is to vaccinate 269,000 children under five annually. 💉✨

We’ve published two new reports with @lshtm.bsky.social RAFT and partners that explore experiences of insecticide-treated net distribution in #Cameroon & #Tanzania. These findings will help strengthen #malaria prevention strategies.
