UPDATE: Today, we began a new journey. Robert lost movement in his left leg. CT scan showed a small bleeding on his brain. He was moved to ICU, they are doing an MRI now. It’s probable that the Melanoma has spread to his brain. 😔💔

Steroids are wicked. It’s 2:03am, Robert has slept a total of 2 hours, I just woke up to find him curled up in the corner of his bed focused on the monitor & watching his oxygen level, hyperventilating saying “I have to keep it above 90.”😳
The nurse comes in, turns the monitor away. All fixed!

I made the decision to take Toby to the kennel for a few days. Robert told me this morning that he has panic attacks when I’m not here with him. Praying he sleeps tonight with me right here. The staff is so amazing here at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical. ♥️

I arrived at the hospital to find that the progress we had yesterday had done a complete reversal. 😔 He went from the reduced oxygen flow, back to the super high flow mask. Belligerent & intolerant of it, I calmed him down by slowly reciting my vows to him. Taking him back to our day. He calmed down

My day started at 4:34am when Mr Toby woke me up. I made fresh blueberry pancakes, (Toby helped eat them), we watched it snow, then I headed off to the hospital. They had to give Robert a higher dose of steroid, his lungs are still very swollen. Praying they don’t have to intubate him. 🙏🏻

UPDATE: It’s 7:04pm est. I just got home from the hospital. Robert was admitted. CAT scan showed his lungs are severely swollen & inflamed. He has Pneumonitis, due to the immunotherapy treatment. His oxygen level was 85 when we 1st arrive to the ER, they have him on oxygen & steroids to reduce
