This seems an excellent day to post a pic of the burning Reichstag in Berlin. Hitler blamed the 1933 fire on communists and used it as a pretext to suspend civil liberties and to allow the Nazis to peruse "ruthless confrontation" with German citizens.

My mother taught me diner speak when I was little. I’ve known what 86’ed meant forever.
Really confusing day for anyone who worked in a restaurant to realize that when we were told an item on the menu had been "86'ed" that meant the kitchen staff had assassinated it in cold blood.

My father died 21 years ago this morning. Does that mean my grief is an adult now? That it should press less heavily on my heart? My people say “may their memory be a blessing”. Max’s certainly is.

I’ve just spent an excrutiating two & a half hours listening to my congressman cherry pick facts, dodge actual answers, smugly disrespect the audience members who were asking the questions, and repeatedly and proudly proclaim his undying loyalty to Donald Trump. I need eye bleach and a stiff drink.
