Just leaving this here if anyone wants to check it out...We are housing not only families fleeing violence, but also families who simply find themselves homeless in hotels for weeks on end. If you are thinking 'that doesn't sound so bad' - remain curious a bit longer and listen to our families...

We don't give out clothes in plastic bags - ever it is a RULE.
Plastic bag of clothes don't offer the dignity and respect that our mums and minis deserve.
We want to give gifts with love, not tatty handouts.
So - we need a constant supply of cloth tote bags.
Got any? Send them our way!🛍️

When we moved in to the Grassroots Resource Centre, we dreamt of leveraging this space to serve our community.
Now we are doing it through Healing Community clinics.
You get - wonderful Osteopathy or Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy – our mums get the same, but free.
Our communities heal together!

Imagine you were Lincoln City FC, then you managed to sign Ronaldo. What a game-changer!
This is how we felt as our new Director of Operations started this week.
And... BTW we are not finished hiring.
There is still time to become our new Admin and Referrals Co-ordinator.

This data illustrates how, in London, wealth and poverty sit side by side

Richmond, one of the most affluent parts of the city, borders with Hounslow, which has higher levels of poverty.

Could you get through a regular week without a kitchen, or a washing machine or WiFi?

Many of us couldn’t. But thousands of families in temporary accommodation are having to – often for months or even years.

So with the Better TA Alliance, we’ve launched a new campaign: Fix the Five Basics...

More than 13,000 people were seen sleeping rough on the streets of London in 2024/25 - the highest on record.

This is almost 4x higher than 15 years ago, in 2008/2009, and a 10% increase in just 12 months.

The newham charity @magpieprojectuk.bsky.social have been campaigning for ages to stop families being housed without access to kitchens. Families are being forced to live in places with nowhere to cook suitable food for children, nowhere to make an iftar meal, nowhere to make baby formula.
When I did a story on conditions in migrant hotels, there was a woman who would have to wash the spicy sauce off the pasta - in the sink - because there was no meal suitable for her toddler. She felt like a bad mum who couldn’t feed her own child
