The Golden Bird (Grimm Douwa: Kin no Tori, Toei/Madhouse, prod. 1984/rel. 1987): the moment I saw Orphan had released a full HD version of this, I knew I had to immediately rewatch this hidden gem by 80s Madhouse that is one of Toshio Hirata's and Manabu Ohashi's masterpieces

Using a combination of glitches in Super Mario World, Yoshi can be taken into the final battle, where he can eat Peach upon Bowser's defeat. With Peach gone, the ending will not play, and Mario and Yoshi will simply stare at each other forever.

Good game tho, I'm in love with the pop art style and the outside perspective it gives on its american/european setting. Its best moments are when the insanity takes over and all you gotta do is just follow along. Also funny to see where Undertale got a lot of its influences
I am ashamed to admit that I never finished playing Earthbound, so 2026 will be the year of change

Good game tho, I'm in love with the pop art style and the outside perspective it gives on its american/european setting. Its best moments are when the insanity takes over and all you gotta do is just follow along. Also funny to see where Undertale got a lot of its influences
