In yet another crackdown on LGBT rights, Hungary’s parliament has passed a law that will outlaw LGBT Pride and similar events.

I was in my backyard, bending over at the waist to pour water into a container. I heard a buzzing near my ear, and as I registered that the sound was coming from a hummingbird, he appeared less than a foot in front of me. I stayed very still. He was facing me, with his brilliant pink chest bared.

It’s been a normal Friday. We have gotten to go to school, work, yoga class, wrestling practice, and a Zoom meeting about a post-secondary educational program.
