With every headline it becomes more clear: Dark times are getting darker. Wherever you can, lean into the good things. Focus on the helpers and helping. Do what you can. Do away with what you can't. Take breaks. Hydrate. Sleep. Revel in joy. Seek out light and torchbearers. Fight. Repeat.

I happen to know that some powerful media orgs were unhappy that AP filed suit; they thought the conflict with the White House would blow over on its own and that AP risked making bad law. The AP's leadership deserves a lot of credit for having proceeded as it did. apnews.com/article/trum...

This is why when someone says a biz person will make a great leader, we should reply w/ "A government is not a business. Businesses are not funded by their employees for whom they are charged to look after. Governments ARE req'd to look after their citizens (who fund them with their tax dollars)."
