Life has zipped right along, warts & all, since I fell off here 4+ months ago. I intend to resume more regular posting, starting with a real-life story. But which one:

We named the new dog Lupo (Italian for wolf). I already love him so much. Fiver looks at me with naughty playful eyes. Lupo looks into my soul. It's almost unnerving. He is similar to Bruno in many respects, but different enough that it feels just right.

For Rose's birthday dinner, I wore my kimono-sleeved psychedelic vintage maxi dress with dangly rhinestone earrings.

We did it. We shipped six kids + the dog off to various family & respite homes in order to see Brandi Carlile at Blossom. We did it. It happened. No illness/crisis/emergency blocked us this time. It happened. Got home close to 2am & slept til almost 10. All the kids + dog return today. We did it.

We did it. We shipped six kids + the dog off to various family & respite homes in order to see Brandi Carlile at Blossom. We did it. It happened. No illness/crisis/emergency blocked us this time. It happened. Got home close to 2am & slept til almost 10. All the kids + dog return today. We did it.
In honor of my Swiftie's upcoming 14th birthday, for my second ever manicure & pedicure, I've got lavender haze fingers & maroon toes.

Tonight Tully took a tumble @ the playground. Looked like maybe she bit through her lip. Fortunately, no. Just two wounds that look suspiciously connected. Urgent care glued shut the bigger wound on top.

Going to meet a potential new dog this week. Fiver is an excellent family pet, but I'm in need of a bucket-filling soul dog, so I am going to be super picky. She has the right look for sure. We'll see about the vibes.

This summer we took 3.5 vacations (Asheville, Florida, Hocking Hills, Alabama Gulf Coast). Went from 4 kids to 6. Visited my ancestral land/secret birthplace of the coal miner's labor movement & sobbed thru Alabama civil rights historical stops. And I started my 1st non-freelance job in 14 years.
