It’s snowing, I’m starting my weekly three-day weekend, and I have one of the best games of the past decade to sink my teeth into. I also have a pizza and plenty of beasts ready to cuddle with. Yay!

I work with people all day who are dealing with so much internal and external distress. I love what I do with all my heart but goddamn am I grateful for the worlds I can retreat into, the narratives I can enjoy after a stressful day, and the pure joy that gaming brings to me.

I just completed possibly the greatest quest I’ve ever experienced in a game. No spoilers but it was surprising, terrifying, hilariously vulgar, and strangely mystical. All while barely being able to see or walk due to drinking too much moonshine w/a group of Cumans camping out near Romani Nomads.

I’m sorry, but I’m still waiting for the My Little Pony cinematic universe that inspires never-ending TV series, films, and AAA games.

I didn't realize how tired I was of everybody in AAA games talking like MCU characters until Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offered a welcome alternative

The biggest takeaway EA should consider regarding the disappointment of Dragon Age: The Veilguard is that underestimating player intelligence in storytelling/character development (especially in a supposed RPG) in favor of flashy, dopamine-pinging design choices is a mistake. Live service? What.

Friends, #KingdomComeDeliverance2 is very special. I honestly forgot I was even playing a prologue with tutorials… I was so immersed. So when the opening credits actually began after a few hours of gameplay I got chills.
