I feel like a tattoo would fix me. Either that or a mosh pit.

I may need to go do some research in the field and report back 🤔

Most of our friends and coworkers who were affected by the layoff said goodbye on Friday.

Today the office feels full of a tense stillness. I don't think this is the sort of thing you get used to.

Soup season also means crochet season. Do I have 3 other unfinished crochet projects collecting dust? Maybe. But what if I just make my first shawl instead of finishing any of those?

It's time to get emotionally destroyed again. At least the book is pretty!

I'm heading to Gamescom in a few weeks and so far my calendar is surprisingly light. Who am I seeing there?!

Just rewatched Children of Men for the first time in almost 20 years and it's kinda scary how apt it is at the moment (minus the no kids thing obvs)

Ended up going with a rosemary garlic instead of cinnamon sugar focaccia, but the result was delicious af regardless

One benefit of burnout leave is I finally get the chance to rewatch Doctor Who and bake whatever random recipe I feel like each day. Small victories!
(Today is the end of Season 1 and cinnamon roll focaccia)

Learning a new skill is not the hard part. Learning to be okay with sucking at the new skill is.

My motto recently is "it doesn't have to be good, it just has to exist."

Made it out of the house today for a little fresh air and self care. Even on a rainy day Stockholm can be beautiful 💕

Burnout hard truth: you have no appetite, get tired of eating even simple things halfway through, and are left feeling guilty and like a failure for not being able to even feed yourself properly.

And then you cry for 10 minutes over a half eaten banana.

Just heard someone refer to a red light district worker as a "Hollandaise Hooker" and I don't think I'll ever be the same

Sometimes you just gotta walk around the city for a couple hours and have a beer by the water

Big fomo to be missing TC and seeing folks 😢

But at least it's sunny I Stockholm!

The Until Dawn movie was actually pretty good! I think it's the best case scenario for an adaptation that kept the spirit of the game. There's no way a direct retelling would've worked for many reasons

Not sure I'd like it as much if I hadn't played the game though.

The AI bubble was inflated based on the idea that we need bigger models that both are trained and run on bigger and even larger GPUs. A company came along that has undermined the narrative - ways both substantive and questionable - and now the market panicked that $200bn got wasted on AI capex
Can someone explain it to me like I'm stupid?

Update on my afternoon tea experience: I don't know how strong they made those brews but none of the 6 of us who went got any sleep last night 😅

We had a macha tea time at a local Asian inspired restaurant today and it was so good! The milky oolong was my favorite and the Lucky Cat cake tasted just like eating sugar cookie dough (10/10)
Turns out there's lots of cool stuff to do if you leave the house every now and then

It's a fine line between "excitedly diving into a new project" and "unsustainably hyperfixating on a fast track to burnout"
